Radially aligned positioning

The problem

Often, an outdoor area is created first and the seating options are only considered afterwards. This then results in the following cases, for example:

Case 1
There should be a seating area arranged in a circle around a tree, a column or a fountain.

Case 2
The area has a round shape. The aim is to create a seating group that is as communicative as possible, so that the seated people form a semicircle or a full circle.

In addition, the seating groups should take up as little space as possible.

Solution with Erlau

All Erlau seating groups are designed in such a way that they can be positioned in a wide variety of radii.

For case 1, you would choose an outside radius. The seating group is arranged in a circle around a tree, for example, facing outwards. The lines emphasise the naturalness of the open space to be designed. It is possible to attach an armrest to individual seat pans or to all of them. This makes getting up easier, especially for older people and people in need of assistance.

In case 2, an inside radius is the correct solution. In this way, communicative circles and semicircles can be created facing inwards. Armrests can, of course, also be attached.

In both cases, the seating system blends ideally into the landscape.
