Erlau AG was founded in 1828 in Aalen, Swabia. It is the world market leader in tyre protection chains, and a top brand for Outdoor Furniture, and Barrier-Free Sanitary Furnishings suitable for the elderly.

Erlau, the Swabian hot-house of ideas, develops and produces in Germany and markets its products worldwide.

It is a subsidiary company of RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH & Co. KG, which was also founded in Aalen in 1875, so making it part of the internationally successfully positioned RUD family business.
